Governance Structure

The Santos Foundation operates under a dual-trust structure, with one trust based in Australia and the other in Papua New Guinea. Each trust is governed by its own local trustee company, Santos Foundation Pty Ltd in Australia and Santos Foundation Limited in Papua New Guinea.

The Santos Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation comprised of two trusts:

  • Santos Foundation (Australia) – governed by Santos Foundation Pty Ltd (ACN 670123 789)
  • Santos Foundation (PNG) – governed by Santos Foundation Limited (Company Registration No.1-69300)

This structure enables the Foundation to maintain local accountability, comply with jurisdiction-specific legal and regulatory requirements, and tailor its community initiatives to the unique needs of each country.

We respect the political, cultural and legislative frameworks of the regions we work in. Our partnerships are built on trust transparency, and shared goals, empowering communities.
