Michael joined Santos in July 2023, he is currently the Group General Counsel and Executive Vice President Environment and Governance. In this role Michael is responsible for overseeing the Company’s Legal, Company Secretariat, Government Relations, Risk, Audit and Compliance, Environment, Approvals, Cultural Heritage and First Nations Engagement functions. Michael was appointed director of the Santos Foundation (PNG) Board and Santos Foundation (Australia) Board in April 2024.

Michael has over 30 years’ experience as a lawyer, and 17 years in various corporate roles with responsibilities including legal, internal audit, risk, governance, external affairs, security and properties. He has held leadership roles at Woodside and Ampol and prior to that was a salaried partner at Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong.

Michael has served on the Board of  Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA).

Michael has Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Western Australia.

Peter is an independent non-executive director of the Santos Foundation. He joined the Foundation in May, 2024 following his retirement from the board of Santos in April, 2024, where he was Chair of the Safety and Sustainability Committee, a member of the Nomination Committee and a member of the People Remuneration and Culture Committee, having served earlier on the Company’s Audit and Risk Committee.

During and 18-year career in the oil industry with Exxon in Australia and the USA, he held a variety of senior marketing, operations, logistics and strategic planning positions.

Peter joined YUM Brands (formerly PepsiCo Restaurants) in 1991 as KFC Australia’s Director of Operations and subsequently had several senior international leadership roles based in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong and the US, as well as being YUM’s global Chief People Officer, then President and Chief Concept Officer of Pizza Hut USA before assuming the global role of YUM Brands’ Chief Operations and Development Officer in 2006 , based in Dallas, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky from where he retired in 2008.

Following his retirement as an executive he returned to live in Australia where he has sat on the boards of Goodman Fielder, Treasury Wine Estates, Telstra, Santos and the Endeavour Group, where he was Chair until he retired from that board in March 2024.

Other Current Directorships: Trustee of the Stepping Stone Foundation, a Sydney based NFP (since 2020) and a member of its Investment Committee (since 2018).

Kevin joined the Santos Foundation (PNG) Board, formerly the Oil Search Foundation, in June 2022 and was appointed Chair in March 2023. Kevin was appointed Chair of the Santos Foundation Board (Australia) upon its establishment in July 2023.

Kevin joined Santos as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 1 February 2016, bringing more than 25 years’ international experience in the oil and gas industry.

Kevin has positioned Santos to leverage the critical role natural gas will play in delivering energy security through the energy transition with an ambitious target of net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040. He has implemented a clear decarbonisation strategy building around the company’s existing infrastructure by developing natural gas projects for backfill and growing new revenue streams and reducing emissions through carbon capture and storage, and clean fuels projects such as hydrogen.

Commencing his career in the oil and gas industry as a drilling engineer in Scotland working with Mobil in the North Sea, Kevin migrated to Australia to join Woodside in 1998. He was Chief Executive Officer at Clough Limited from 2011 until his appointment at Santos.

Jodie was appointed CEO of the Santos Foundation and a director of Santos Foundation (Australia) upon its establishment in July 2023. Jodie was appointed director of the Santos Foundation (PNG) Board in April 2024.

Prior to this Jodie joined Santos Ltd in 2019 as General Counsel and Company Secretary of the Santos Group.

Jodie joined Santos from INPEX Australia, where she was General Counsel and General Manager Legal for the Ichthys LNG project and INPEX’s Australia business.

Jodie commenced her career in the private sector, working in the UK and Australia and has served on the advisory board of the Curtin University Law School as well as Muscular Dystrophy WA.

Leon joined Santos Foundation (PNG) Board, formerly the Oil Search Foundation, in September 2020.

Leon is the Country Chair PNG for Santos Limited. He joined Oil Search in 2012 and has held several senior positions, most recently Senior Vice President for External Affairs – Community. As PNG Country Manager, Leon oversees all Social Responsibility, Community Affairs, Communications and Biomass-related activities within PNG.

Leon sits on several prominent PNG Boards across not-for-profit, commercial and government sectors and currently serves as the Commissioner of the PNG Sports Foundation.

The Santos Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, which is made up of an Australian-based trust and a Papua New Guinean-based trust (formerly known as the Oil Search Foundation).  Each of the Santos Foundation trusts are governed by a local trustee company.
